The Oregon State Chapter P.E.O. Sisterhood Charitable Trust was created January 25, 1984 to provide scholarships to Oregon women attending Oregon accredited institutions of learning. The Trust qualifies as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954. Under the Trust three scholarships were created.
Oregon Marguerite Scholarship
The Oregon Marguerite Scholarship provides Oregon women with grants for tuition and fees to be applied toward a degree, certificate, workshop, vocational or technical course, and specialized training at any post-secondary level accredited institution in Oregon.
The Oregon Scholarship provides Oregon women with grants for tuition and fees to women pursuing a degree at an accredited Oregon College or University. The applicant must have junior, senior, or graduate level status and must be pursing a solid degree. The amount of the award depends upon the funds available in the year of the application.
Oregon Cottey Scholarship
The Cottey Scholarship provides Oregon women with grants for tuition to Oregon students accepted for admittance to Cottey College. The amount of the award is dependent upon the number of applicants and the funds available in the year of application.
